Moving from Mac App store

Edit on April 25:

Earlier this year we announced through various channels (medium, twitter, email, etc) a migration to our new distributing system. The process was made since the beginning of this year until April 15 (after that we extend the deadline to April 21). We believe that anyone interested in migrating to the new distribution system has made it in the last 3 months.

We left the apple version in a good place. It’s a solid version and you can use it as long as you want but please note that we will not be giving support to apple version.

After almost 5 years of distributing Sip in the Apple Store, we made the decision to move away and distribute Sip independently.

The App Store is a great platform for distributing software, but right now we need more control and freedom to build what we think is best for our users. Also, there are restrictions imposed by Mac App Store guidelines such as sandboxing that limit some of the features we want to bring to Sip.

In general, we believe that independently distributing Sip will allow us to deliver a better application and support to our users.

What will change:

  • We will no longer have a free version. We will only have Sip packed with all features we have been developing for Sip Pro.
  • We have a 15-day trial, which you can download on our website so people can try Sip and decide whether to buy or not.
  • We will no longer support the Mac App Store version.

If you have any questions concerning this migration, please contact us via email.

Thank you all for continuing support Sip!

Olá Brothers Team.
